 this meeting!\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Judges\nJudge Sylvia Holmes assumed offi
 ce as Justice of the Peace\, Precinct 3\, in 2019\, and was re-elected uno
 pposed in 2022. Holmes holds a BBA in Marketing from The University of Tex
 as at Austin’s McCombs School of Business and earned her law degree from
  The University of Alabama School of Law in 2006. Prior to her judicial ro
 le\, she worked in private practice and served as Associate Director of th
 e Legal Services for Students Office at UT Austin for eight years.\n\n\n\n
 \nWith 20 years of legal experience\, she brings a wealth of knowledge to 
 her roles\, including serving as 3rd Vice President for the Justices of th
 e Peace and Constables Association of Texas\, on the Austin Bar Associatio
 n’s Board of Directors\, and former President of the Rotary Club of Aust
 in. She is committed to public service and volunteers in various initiativ
 es\, including membership on the Board for the Capital City Village and fo
 stering civic engagement among students with Early Act First Knight.\nJudg
 e Raúl Arturo González was elected in November 2006 to the office of Ju
 stice of the Peace\, Precinct 3. Prior to being elected to the bench\, Gon
 zález served as assistant counsel for the State Board of Educator Certifi
 cation and the Texas Education Agency. He also worked as an Assistant Dist
 rict Attorney in the Travis County District Attorney’s Office for 6 and 
 a half years.\nJudge González attended and received his Bachelor’s degr
 ee in Business Administration from the University of Texas\, and later ret
 urned to the University of Texas to earn his law degree. He has been licen
 sed to practice law in the State of Texas since 1996. In addition to his s
 ervice to the community\, he has also served the legal profession in leade
 rship positions through organizations such as the Austin Young Lawyers\, A
 ustin Bar Association\, Hispanic Bar Association\, Robert Calvert Inn of C
 ourt\, Justice of the Peace and Constable’s Association\, and various lo
 cal democrat organizations.\n\n
